Modernism

In Christian theology, Modernism is the tendency toward disbelief in classical and orthodox Christian doctrines such as the Virgin Birth and the Resurrection of Christ, or subjecting those beliefs to tests of modern science and human reason. Modernism is the opposite of fundamentalism.
