Heinrick Bruning (1885 - 1970) was a German statesman and chancellor of the Weimar Republic from 1930 to 1932.

Bruning's efforts to restore the battered German economy aroused opposition and eventually led to president Paul von Hindenburg to dismiss Bruning. This eventually led to Hitler's ascendency to the position of chancellor.
