The Kingdom of Bahrain (commonly called Bahrain) is an island nation in the Persian Gulf, which is a constitutional monarchy. The capital of Bahrain is Manama, where king Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa resides. The current Prime Minister is [[Khalifah ibn Sulman Al Khalifah].
The majority of people in Bahrain are Sunni Muslims, however, there is a small but vocal minority of Shi'a Muslims who have demanded more political reforms.
The nation has turned to banking as a means of revenue due to declining oil reserves. [1]
