A theory that has been tested by and is consistent with generations of data. [1]

Theory and Law

A scientific Law is a description based on empirical observations. A scientific law explains nothing. A Theory unifies and explains empirical observations. Thus a Law is not a refined theory and is not superior to a theory. An explanation never becomes a description; A Scientific Theory NEVER becomes a Law.
