Neil Patrick Harris

Neil Patrick Harris is an American television actor.[1] He played "Doogie Howser, M.D." in the show of the same name, and currently plays "Barney" in the television show, "How I Met Your Mother."
In late 2006, in an attempt to avoid a pending "witch hunt", Harris came out as a homosexual, admitting that he'd been in a long-term relationship with a fellow actor for some time. He felt that his private life was about to become quite public, and wanted to avoid the attendant scandal.
