Julius or Augustus

Also I feel obliged to correct as an amateur historian, the idea that Julius Caesar was so influential. He actually was not that big of a deal. Perhaps he felled the Republic as it was, but its fate was hardly determined, or settled, by his actions. The work of creating real change from the Republic to the Empire was that of Augustus. Perhaps Julius started the process, but the real work was my personal hero, Augustus.-Speaker 00:35, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
