Jules Verne

Jules Verne (1828-1905) was a French science-fiction author and a pioneer of that literary genre. His most popular books include 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Around the World in 80 Days.
Verne wrote about machines similar to e.G. submarines and airplanes in his books before those machines were invented.
