The Onion is a weekly newspaper. During the Clinton administration it was critical of the President[Citation Needed] and enjoyed by conservatives. After Bush took office they turned into a liberal paper because they continued to criticize the president. Many people saw this as hypocritical[Citation Needed] and so The Onion readership has declined in recent years[Citation Needed]. It is expected to improve dramatically if the Democrats win the presidency in 2008[Citation Needed].
