Lymphatic system

The lymphatic system is a system of vessels carrying lymph to the venous side of the circulatory system.
Apart from draining the tissues, it also helps in absorbing nutrients including fat globules from intestine. Blockage of lymphatic system results in lymphoedema and can occur as a result of filariasis
