Homophones
A homophone is a word or a phrase that has the same pronunciation as another word or phrase, but has a different meaning. An example of a pair of homophones would be "ice cream" and "I scream."
Homophone Myths
According to episode 25 of the popular show "Carnival of Queers," a homophone is a phone used for gay lovers to contact one another. This is wholly false likely a perversion propagated by the media.
