Conservapedia Commandments

The Conservapedia Commandments suffer from a fatal flaw.

The first commandment is "1 - Everything you post must be true and verifiable. "

However, as a website dedicated to promoting Christian Values and Christian theology in both an encyclopedia and on the internet as a whole this suffers from a serious logical error.

"Verifiable" is defined by Webster's Dictionary as the following:

1. capable of being verified; "a verifiable account of the incident" 2. capable of being tested (verified or falsified) by experiment or observation

"Verify" is defined by Webster's Dictionary as the following:

1. to prove the truth of, as by evidence or testimony; confirm; substantiate: Events verified his prediction. 2. to ascertain the truth or correctness of, as by examination, research, or comparison: to verify a spelling. 3. to act as ultimate proof or evidence of; serve to confirm. 4. Law. a. to prove or confirm (an allegation). b. to state to be true, esp. in legal use, formally or upon oath.

However, Christianity, the Bible, and the word of God cannot be verified as true. Therefore any Christian related articles on the Website are a violation of the first commandment of Conservapedia.
