Metrorail

The Metrorail, often referred to as the Metro, is the public subway system in Washington, D.C. It began operations in 1976. The subway system consists of five "lines": the Red, Orange, Green, Blue, and Yellow lines. This makes maps easy to follow visually, although some colorblind passengers have experienced problems differentiating between some of the colors. A Silver line is planned for the future. The stations and trains are known for being clean and tidy.^{[Citation Needed]}
