Jerry Seinfeld is a famous and wealthy entertainer whose Seinfeld show (1989–1998) was set in upper Manhattan and concerned the empty, meaningless and trivial lives of single people. One of the show's most popular character was the "Soup Nazi", a thin-skinned restaurant owner who would shout at customers, "No soup for you!"
