Romulus Augustulus

Romulus Augustus was the last emperor of the Roman Empire. His name translates to, "Romulus, the Little Augustus," a reference to his young age.
He was deposed in AD 476 when he was nine years old. This marked the end of the Roman Empire in the West, although the Byzantine Empire continued in the East, ruled from Constantinople.
Also, the Ostrogoths continued to rule the Western Empire in a fashion as close to the Roman way of life as possible, to some degree of success.[1]
