The pelican is one of the largest types of water bird. Pelicans are found in many parts of the world, but prefer tropical and temperate areas. they are well known for their large bills, to which is attached a pouch. Using this they can catch a large amount of fish in one go. The Brown Pelican lives in North America, and is a familiar sight in some coastal states.
