Crete

Template:StubAn island in the Mediterranean Sea which was home to the Minoan Civilization. The capital of Crete is Heraklion (also spelt Iraklion).
Notable features of Crete include the Samaria Gorge, the Minoan remains at Knossos and the former leper colony at Spinalonga.
