Massachusetts

Massachusetts is a state in the United States known for liberal politics, to the point that the term Massachusetts Liberal is in regular use by the media. Its senators are two of the most liberal men in the Senate: John Kerry (who unsuccessfully ran for President in 2004) and Ted Kennedy. Massachusetts is famous for its legalisation of same-sex marriage. Also it was one of the origional thirteen colonies, and is where Paul Revere engaged in his famous midnight ride, and the Boston Tea Party took place.
