Boyd Packer

Boyd K. Packer is the current President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Packer was born September 10, 1924, in Brigham City, Utah. He served as a bomber pilot during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Packer became the President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on February 3, 2008 after Thomas Monson became the President of the Church. Packer had been serving as Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve since June 5, 1994. Packer was ordained as an apostle on April 9, 1970.
