Abortionist

An abortionist is one who performs (and profits from) abortions.
Abortionists are medical doctors who have periodically been the target of violent attack and even murder. In the United States between 1993 and 1998 seven people have died as a result of such attacks, including three doctors. This represents a far lower professional death rate than that which exists, for example, amongst lion tamers but is higher than that for ichthyologists.
