Brit Hume
Brit Hume (born 1943) is an award-winning broadcaster who currently serves as Fox News' managing editor and chief Washington correspondent, as well as moderator of Special Report with Brit Hume, the number-one-rated cable weeknight political program.[1] Hume previously worked for ABC News for over 23 years, reporting for many of the network's well-recognized news shows including World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, Nightline, and the Sunday morning interview show This Week. At ABC, he held numerous positions, including Washington correspondent (1976) and Capitol Hill correspondent(1977-1988). He has served as contributor to The Weekly Standard, The Hartford Times, The Baltimore Evening Sun, The Washington Post, and The American Spectator.[2]. Hume has been praised for his fair and balanced reporting[3].
Awards
Hume has won many notable journalism awards, including an Emmy Award for his coverage of the Gulf War; the 2003 Sol Taischoff Award from the National Press Foundation; and two Best of Business awards given by the American Journalism Review.
