Sorry Ed, I'm not sure why you took "It is from him that all evil in Middle-Earth is ultimately derived." out. He is specifically referred to as such terms in both the Silmarillion, as well as the History of Middle Earth.
Also, I'm not sure what mean by "make up your mind?". Is it the difference in meaning between "Morgoth Bauglir" and "Morgoth"? Both are correct, in Tolkein's made up language of Sindarin - it all depends if he's called Morgoth, or by his full title. Revert, please?
