Alarmist

An alarmist is on who tries to alarm others, especially by using exaggerations.
In modern usage, such people can fall under the following categories:
- Bloggers
- Global Warming alarmists
- Certain Left-Wing websites
- Nationalist governments which seek to gain the blind trust of the populist by way of inventing threats to national security. See Nazi, 1984, and Iraq War.
- Extremists, both liberal and conservative
