Edouard Manet lived from 1832 to 1883. He painted in the style of Impressionism and is often called the Father of Modern Art. His most well known painting is "A Bar at the Folie-Bergere". Manet also scandalized the public with his nudes, most notably "Le Dejenuer sur l'herbe" and "Olympia". He used sketchy brush strokes that give his paintings a flat, unfinished feel.
