The Angels weep, piercing high heaven as though,
It were to cease in the morn, and the light of Phobeus,
to be nought, for decay has withered the blooms,
devoured the unborn, wrapped all in veils of shadow,
woven by those who kill the goats, slay the lambs,
Rachel weeping for her sons driven away, struck by Odins
wrath as death creeps like a sheep among the unborn.
