Genius bias

Genius bias is the tendency for people with a particularly belief system, especially liberals, to promote someone with similar beliefs as a "genius" at the expense of more accomplished or qualified persons not sharing those beliefs.

The New York Times often employs genius bias to promote an atheist or liberal. Although Jonathan Wells is more qualified than Richard Dawkins, the New York Times described Dawkins as an "eminent scientist" and an "evolutionary biologist".[1]
