Spiritism is a loose collection of related beliefs stemming from the teachings of Hippolyte Léon Denizard Rivail, a 19th Century French thinker.

The beliefs of individual Spiritualists vary but in general Spiritualists are Monotheists and believe that they can speak directly to the spirits of the dead.
