Knotty Ash

Knotty Ash is a suburb of Liverpool. It derived its name from a gnarled ash tree which once stood in the village centre.[1]. In the 1960s it was the home of the vicious Diddy Men, a gang led by the notorious Ken Dodd who attacked people viciously with his 'ticklestick'
