I deleted the article because it contradicted the little bit I know about evolution.
- "Biological evolution," according to the National Academy' booklet, "explains that living things share common ancestors. Over time, evolutionary change gives rise to new species. Darwin called this process 'descent with modification,' and it remains a good definition of biological evolution today." [1]
The deleted article implied that dwm is merely change within a species (see microevolution), but the quote above emphasizes that the process does give rise to new species (as in macroevolution). --Ed Poor Talk 14:11, 28 April 2008 (EDT)
