Albrecht Dürer

Albrecht Dürer (1471 – 1528) German painter and printmaker. He was a Roman Catholic but highly sympathetic to Martin Luther and Protestants.
Dürer exerted a huge inspiration for major artists, such as Raphael and Titian, through his prints.
