Liverpool Football Club are an English soccer team (Football in the UK) founded in 1892.

Although they are the most successful club in English league history, having won eighteen domestic league championships, as well as five European championships, successes have been few and far between since the heydays of the 1970's and 1980's. Their biggest win in recent years was in 2005, when they came back from 0-3 down to beat A.C. Milan in the UEFA Champions' League Final.

They ended the 2007/08 season in fourth place in the Premiership, qualifying for the 2008/09 UEFA Champions' League.
