A possible expansion opportunity, or link for another essay is that Wikipedia already, of course, accepts donations - in fact, Wikipedia openly solicits donations. At one point, a banner was run at the top of every page asking for donations. Although I have admittedly not kept up with the topic, I do think that the financial accountability is controversial - where is this money going? DanH 11:48, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
