Hieroglyphs

A form of writing developed in Egypt. There exist two sets of hieroglyphs: a more complex form used in carving, and a shorthand script known as demotic. Hieroglyphs are no longer used in Egypt, but their are used in modern Urdu and a few other languages of South Asia.
