The Arctic Ocean (5.4 million square miles)[1] is the smallest of the world's oceans, centered around the North Pole, and much of it seasonally or permanently icebound.
It is home to polar bears, walruss, belugas, narwhals, harp seals, and various other Arctic wildlife.
It is borderd by Norway, Russia, Alaska, Canada, and Greenland.[2]
