The types of evolution discussed by scientists are:

  1. Cosmic Evolution (the origin of space, time, matter and energy from nothing)
  2. Stellar and Planetary Evolution (the origin of stars and planets)
  3. Abiogenesis (the origin of organic life from non-organic molecules)
  4. Macro Evolution (the origin of major kinds)
  5. Chemical Evolution (the development of the larger elements from hydrogen)
  6. Micro Evolution (the variation within the kinds).

Only the fifth and sixth phases have been observed and documented. The first four are assumed. [1]
