The Flintstones

The Flintstones is a cartoon franchise started in 1960 featuring a "modern stone age family" living in a "Town of Bedrock" according to the theme song. There was a Flintstones animated TV series from 1960 to 1966 and a movie in 1994 and many spin off series and video games. The series features a suburban family headed by Fred Flintstone. In keeping with Biblical teachings, dinosaurs are featured as domestic animals assisting in household chores, as pets (including the Flintstone's "Dino"), and as beasts of burden.
The series is modeled after a 1950's TV show called The Honeymooners.
