Blue state

Template:Stub Blue state refers to states in the USA that vote for Democrats in Presidential elections. They generally have sensible views on homosexuality[Citation Needed], abortion[Citation Needed], and crime[Citation Needed]. They also do not believe as strongly in national defense (for example, the war on terrorism) as their counterparts in the red states[Citation Needed].
Blue States include the two most economically significant states, California and New York. They have a higher per-capita income and a higher level of post-secondary education.
