Wicketkeeper
This is an old revision of this page, as edited by JJacob (talk | contribs) at 23:21, July 11, 2008. It may differ significantly from current revision.
A wicketkeeper is a fielder in cricket that stands directly behind the stumps behind the batsman facing. Their job is to collect the ball if the batsman doesn't play it. He can also get catches if the ball snicks the edge of the bat or by using the ball to knock the stumps if the batsman is out of his crease (called stumping).
