Evolutionist scientists "of the time"

User:AutoFire in this edit changed the sentence

“ Evolutionist scientists described him as "the closest transitional link to man". ”

to

“ Evolutionist scientists of the time described him as "the closest transitional link to man". ”

I think this change is unnecessary. For example when we talk about racists, we do not call "racists of the time", or "terrorists of the time killed many people". A scientist who believe in evolution is an evolutionist scientist, no matter past or present. Hence I am reverting his edit. --Dendronicus 09:59, 2 August 2008 (EDT)
