North Vietnam

North Vietnam was the Communist part of divided Vietnam, before and during the Vietnam War. It conquered South Vietnam in 1975, after the U.S. withdrawal in 1973.

  • Hanoi authorized the creation of the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam (NLF). The NLF emphasized patriotism, honesty and good government. [1]
