Nantucket

Nantucket is an island off the coast of Cape Cod in the American state of Massachusetts. It is a popular tourist destination with a strong maritime history. The opening of Herman Melville's novel Moby Dick takes place on Nantucket.
The islandâs original inhabitants, the Wampanoag Indians, were the sole occupants of the island until 1741.
