Wikipedia
Wikipedia is a free-content online encyclopedia established on January 15, 2001. It currently has over 6 million articles, written in 250 languages[1] on various topics, including over 1,600,000 articles in the English version. Like Conservapedia, it is a wiki that is written and edited by its users. Under its GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL), anyone can add to or edit the content on Wikipedia.
Wikipedia and Bias
Wikipedia has been accused by Conservapedia of many biased entries. The article detailing these is found here: Examples of Bias in Wikipedia. In fact Wikipedia really has some articles with bias. In Wikipedia this biases are called "POV articles" (Point of view). Wikipedia aims for articles with a neutral point of few. Anyone who discovers an article that does not have a neutral point of view is encouraged to remove the bias and adding facts.
While the Wikipedia aims for a non biased approach, this site (Conservapedia) specifcally aims for "a conservative encyclopedia". The Wikipedia lays out many style guides, to try and get a consistent and unbiased writing style. Though this is not always perfect (because of free editing) it does lay much better foundations that the Conservapedia which merely asks for consistent use of dates and American English.
