The Red Brigades (Brigate Rossi) was an Italiancommunistterrorist organisation founded in 1970. It was active during the 1970s and 1980s conducting a murderous campaign or assassination and robbery which included, in 1978, the abduction and murder of former Italian prime minister Aldo Moro.
