A tomb raider is a term describing anyone who breaks into tombs for the purposes of primarily looting and/or vandalism.
Tomb raiding was common in past centuries in places like Egypt, where the ancient tombs of the Pharaohs often yielded much treasure for the raiders. Tomb raiding still happens today around the world.
Today the term Tomb Raider is more associated with a series of violent video games.
