It has come to my attention that my initial choice of user name caused some people offence. To these people, i apologize, offence was never my intention. My names on the net are either Japanese words or plays on math/sci. ev01ve was chosen as it was simply ev, ev backwards, with a 2bit binary in the middle, which to a programmer/evolutionist was amusing, i didn't think anyone would be offended.

I am unsure of what is going on regarding this as my block seems to be lifted although I didn't get a reply to my appeal. I can't change my actual user name but my nickname is now different. I hope that twopir (2*pi*r = circumference of circle) does not cause a problem :-)

I'm a junior programmer for a bespoke software development team in the UK. Before that i spent time working on a farm and I'm a graduate of Sussex University with a BSc in Neuroscience and an MSc in "Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems" or EASy as they "amusingly" called it ;-). Not the usual combination, but surprisingly complementary!

Religiously, I'm complicated. When asked if i believed in some entity (God or otherwise) which looks over us, I would say that there may well be, but there is no evidence in either direction. When asked if I am religious the response is a strong "No" as I lay the blame of most of our worlds ill at the feet of organised religion. However the miss use of a thing is not the basis for dismissing that thing.

My Interests include; philosophising with anyone who will engage me in debate, martial arts, programming for amusement and I get my kicks from riding quad bikes. --twopir 20:08, 15 September 2008 (EDT)
