Moor

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Foxtrot (talk | contribs) at 23:20, October 3, 2008. It may differ significantly from current revision.

Moor can refer to:

  • securing or anchoring a boat
  • stretches of infertile land or bogs in the UK

Moor is also an archaic word for someone of African or Arabic ancestry, as in "Moorish architecture" or "The Moor of Venice", which is referring to Othello, a Shakespearean character.
