Columbia Union College

Columbia Union College (CUC) is a conservative Christian college located in Takoma Park, MD.

History

Established in 1904, the CUC was originally known as Washington Training Institute. The name of the college changed to Washington Foreign Mission Seminary in 1907 and changed focus to a more limited objective of training for missionaries. This mission changed once again in 1914 to more traditional liberal arts college and took the name of Washington Missionary College. It was not until 1961 that the college took its present name of Columbia Union College.[1]
