Resin

Resin is a sticky, liquid substance that usually hardens when exposed to air. [1] Hardened resin is used to moisten and sharpen bow hairs for string instruments (i.e. viola, violin, cello, double bass, viola da gamba). Resin that was hardened during Noah's flood is called amber.
