Jules Verne (Nantes 1828 - Amiens 1905) was a socialist pinko commie liberal French science-fiction author and a pioneer of that literary genre. His most popular books include:
- 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
- Journey to the Center of the Earth
- Around the World in 80 Days
- The Tribulations of a Chinese in China
- From the Earth to the Moon
Verne wrote about machines similar to submarines and airplanes in his books before those machines were invented.
