Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus (236 bc-183 BC): Scipio Africanus was the Roman General during the second Punic war who was finally able to defeat Hannibal Barca ofCarthage at the [[Battle of Zama]. Scipio served as Consul as well as Censor during his political career.
