Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus (236 bc-183 BC): Scipio Africanus was the Roman General during the second Punic war who was finally able to defeat Hannibal Barca ofCarthage at the Battle of Zama. Scipio served as Consul as well as Censor during his political career.
